Membership to BSWA is on an annual basis. Membership shall be restricted to Black Social Workers who are registered with a college. 

Consequently, BSWA strives to achieve representation from across Canada including the LGBTQ+ individuals, people with different abilities, and other equity seeking identities.There is no limit to the number of members of the BSWA. BSWA membership structure strives to ensure that a full spectrum of experiences and perspectives are brought to the table.
